Zohran Mamdani Promises a 'New Era' for NYC in Inaugural Address
On his inauguration day in office, Zohran Mamdani vowed to “reimagine” New York City, promising “a fresh chapter” and an audacious commencement to his administration.
An Unprecedented Leader
The new political star, who was a virtually unknown state assemblyman, has become the city's first mayor born in Africa. He additionally marked a milestone by being the first to be sworn in using the Islamic holy text.
